[IMPRESSION] EXO

Last night, my twitter timeline filled with tweets about the showcase of EXO and the performance for their debut title track "MAMA." SM Entertainment also announced that the group will debut (FINALLY) this coming April 9. EXO created a lot of buzz as numerous teasers were released and they had already been taking part on a lot of SM- related activities.

I have watched all the teasers, performances and have observed their personality and looks. Indeed, the EXO-M and EXO-K are really good looking, talented and appealing but the problem with the group is that EXO is  a clear copycat of DBSK and SHINEE. Is that a problem? Yes, it is because many DBSK  and SHinee die hard fans are threatened that SM Ent will not give too much attention to their beloved idols and just focus on EXO. Even SUJU fans are irked by the attention that SM is giving to EXO while the company is giving less care with SUJU. The group may already have established their fanbase but they attract too much hate that is not very healthy for their career.

I really don't like the group because they still lack the uniqueness and that is very important in KPOP WORLD. EXO cannot live forever as DBSK-SHINEE copycats so they really need to prove themselves. I just hope that they would showcase more of their talents that would display their individuality and some characteristics that would really make them extra ordinary. WHo knows, I might get to like them but for now, I can see DBSK and SHINEE with them and NO EXO.
